After recently releasing ‘The Baddest Female‘, CL had a pictorial filming for her solo promotion.
On the pictures, CL can be seen as a round girl and whether she’s showing off her slim figure or her voluminous body while holding boxing gloves, she has caught the attention of many.
CL stated “Both in the music video and on stage, I absolutely wanted to show an image that would be a mix of Chaerin (her real name) and CL“, showing her natural appearance that is usually hidden under makeup and fancy clothes.
Moreover, in the interview that took place at the same time as the pictorial, CL said “I don’t think of bad girls in a negative way. In the US “bad” can also mean ‘cool’ and be used to talk about charismatic females. I wish CL could be such a woman” about her ‘Baddest Female’
CL furthermore added “While living overseas I found out about a prejudice that says Asian women are ‘shy’. There are lots of awesome people in Korea but they’re hidden behind it. I want to represent Asian women and break that image”.
