2013 has been a year with many pieces of news on celebrity couples and idols dating. But 2NE1 has always been free from scandals.
In a recent interview, CL mentioned, “Just after we made a debut, the agency banned us from dating because they wanted us to focus on music. Since Dara and Bom are older than I am, their ban was lifted last year. For me and Minzy, the restriction will be removed next year.”
CL added, “Since we don’t appear on variety shows and we only make TV appearance once a week, we rarely get a chance to meet someone. We are always working so we don’t get to go to places to meet people. We never went on holidays since our debut.”
She also commented, “I think our external image plays a role, too. Are we too intimidating? Maybe because we yell out “I am the best” on stage. Some of friends told us we could seem unapproachable.”
Meanwhile, 2NE1’s reggae-influenced comeback song with a hint of pop, “FALLING IN LOVE”, knocked out 9 Korean music charts.
