[130507] The Smiths’ love for YG “PSY, BIGBANG, 2NE1 the best” + brief video clip in the studio

Another Western celeb has proven their love for YG. The father and son of the Smiths family showed special affection for YG Entertainment.
Will Smith, who was at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido with his son for the press conference of “After Earth” (directed by Night Shyamalan) on May 7 said, “if you could make May 7 a public holiday or Willy Day, then I will visit Korea on the day every year.”

Will Smith and his son Jaden who landed at Kimpo Airport on May 5 for the promotion of the new film first made their appearance on the 7th at the press conference. In the evening of the same day they held a red carpet event at Seoul Yongdeongpo’s Time Square to meet their Korean fans. On the 6th, the father and son had a free day to tour around the country, which included visiting YG Entertainment to spend some quality time with BigBang, 2NE1 and other artists.

“After arriving in Korea we visited YG Entertainment yesterday. We met with a lot of artists including G-Dragon. The Korea we see from overseas is amazing and artistic. And it is full of creativity. I wanted to visit because Korean women are beautiful,” said Will Smith, and joked, “Korea feels like Psy’s ‘mother father gentleman’”.

His son commented, “I think BigBang, G-Dragon and 2NE1 are awesome. I think I can get something really creative working with them.”

The Smiths, when asked what they would do if the movie becomes a big success in Korea, mentioned the YG family.

“If the movie becomes a hit, I will come to Korea to sing with Psy. I will sing ‘mother father gentleman.’ I’ll release an album with him,” said Will Smith. His son added, “if the movie becomes a hit first I will move out of home. And I will work on an album with G-Dragon. Or I think the Smiths and YG Family can collaborate to produce an album. You can expect us to come back for more music related activities.”

Before the press conference, Jaden Smith visited YG Entertainment with his father. It is told that Will Smith personally requested to visit the agency. They spent quality time sharing each other’s music.

Jaden Smith, also commented, “I think G-Dragon, BigBang and 2NE1 are cool. I think I can do something really creative with them”, when asked if he wants to collaborate with any Korean artists, at a press conference on May 7 for the promotion of his new film “After Earth” in a hotel in Seoul Yeouido.

“Since Will and Jaden Smiths are also musicians as well as actors, YG and they shared a lot in common in terms of music. They requested that we should collaborate in the future so we exchanged contact details,” said personnel from YG Entertainment.

The two sides exchanged contact details and promised they will collaborate to produce something interesting. Yang Hyun-suk treated the two, along with 17 other staff members, Bibimbap and Bulgogi, traditional Korean dishes.

“We are all huge fans of Will Smith, and I was deeply surprised when he requested to visit our office. It was great meeting with the two and as they showed such affection for us, we grew to like them even more,” Yang Hyun-suk said. Here’s a clip from minakwon of everyone in the studio.
