[130622] “The Baddest Female” mixes things up in her latest performance on SBS’ Inkigayo

Having just returned from a successful performance at the Asia Style Collection with the rest of 2NE1, CL went straight to her latest performance of “The Baddest Female.”

Recall that last week, SBS aired a sizzling stage with a surprise twist at the end, CL’s all white sailor? outfit showing that leader has fully embraced the color of the season. Though CL wasn’t a mutizen nominee, she gave her all for the with an energetic and eye-popping performance.

Blackjacks were anticipating tonight’s performance even more, if that is possible, as it was announced earlier in the week that she would perform a remixed version of her debut solo. Prior to her stage, CL updated her Instagram with a cute picture of herself with the younger dancers who have joined her onstage for the previous performances.

The LOLK!DZ returned the favor with an uploads of their own after all the recordings were done.

Dressed in an Astrid Anderson top & jacket, and Converse platform sneakers, CL started “The Baddest Female” as usual, though with a more cute look compared to last week, especially with her side pigtail.

However, that was where the similarities ended. In the second verse, the music changed to a mixture of punk/club/crunk. CL & dancers alike became more free-spirited on stage.  Unlike last week where CL had a clothing change (a more hip-hop outfit in the first half and a sleek white jacket/shirt combo in the second), she performed the whole song in one outfit, and skipped the move where she sat on the legs of her male dancers.  Instead, she grooved on the stage with the younger dancers seen in her Instagram, and emphasized the party atmosphere of the remix.

After Inkigayo officially ended, CL pre-recorded her stage for next week’s show as 2NE1 will be in Singapore as guest performers for G-Dragon‘s One of A Kind concert, so make sure to tune in!  She also held a mini-fanmeet after her pre-recordings to thank the wonderful Blackjacks who have come to support her over the past few weeks.
