2NE1 shows off womanly charms with barefoot reggae and ‘harp’ dance on the first comeback performance on M Countdown

2NE1, consisting of 4 members CL, DARA, BOM and MINZY, showed off their womanly charms in the first performance of the new song after one year.
2NE1, who appeared on the cable channel Mnet’s M Countdown live at Seoul Sangam CJ E&M Center in the afternoon of July 11, unveiled their performance of the new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE.’ The song was released on July 8, but the performance was aired for the first time.

‘FALLING IN LOVE’, a song with reggae feel to it, reminded the watchers of a summery beach when the four members appeared barefoot. And in the following performance, they were in tank tops and mini skirts which highlighted each member’s charms.

Unlike their past performances which focused on their charisma and power, ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ puts an emphasis on their softness and elegance. The choreography, dubbed the ‘harp’ dance, portrays this perfectly. ‘Harp’ dance, like the name, is a dance that imitates the movement of harp playing. The choreography softens 2NE1’s past image of strength and power.

‘FALLING IN LOVE’ is love song of a woman who is in love with a man, which is a gift from YG’s producers TEDDY and CHOICE 37 to 2NE1. The group will be holding more comeback performances on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Center’ on July 13, and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on 14.
