[130529] CL’s 나쁜 기집애/”The Baddest Female” Ranks #52 on Daily iTunes Worldwide

CL‘s first solo  나쁜 기집애 aka THE BADDEST FEMALE is not only seeing popularity in South Korea but all over the world, ranking on iTunes charts in several countries despite no active promotion and the song being in Korean.
The song debuted at #52, the highest debut for that day, on KWORB‘s iTunes worldwide chart which ranks songs based on iTunes rankings from around the world. This chart groups countries into categories based on how big of a market share they have and ranks on a points basis according to how well a song is ranking in different countries.

So, for example ranking #10 in the USA will give you more points than ranking #10 in Hong Kong because the USA iTunes chart has a bigger iTunes market share than Hong Kong’s. In addition the website also lists the  daily iTunes ranks in each country allowing us to see how well CL has charted around the world.

Please note that these are rankings on iTunes main charts not genre specific. This means that The Baddest Female has ranked in 31 countries and is in the top 20 in 8 countries, going to #1 in Singapore and #2 in Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is easy to see CL’s popularity in Asia, but also in Northern Europe charting well in Sweden, Finland and Norway. CL has also ranked as high as #33 on the USA hip-hop/rap iTunes chart, showing that the song is loved by fans of the genre. If the song continues to chart there is a possibility the song will rank on various countries’ music charts, but already CL has proven her hallyu appeal even as a soloist.
