[130609] Warner Music Taiwan: “GIRL POWER group 2NE1’s leader, CL became THE BADDEST FEMALE” + Official Chinese MV

1st Thailand and now Taiwan – Check out CL‘s introductory greeting for the official Chinese-subbed version of “The Baddest Female” from Warner Music Taiwan.

Due to the deep impression of Taiwan fans who have given their enthusiastic support, Warner Music Taiwan is authorized by YG Entertainment for the first time in history to release CL‘s the digital single on the same date as Korea on all Taiwan online music platforms(Online+Mobile) on 5/31(Friday). Taiwan fans are felt very excited and looked forward as there is almost zero time difference for the release!!
The MV for CL’s latest solo single also premiered on Fox Entertainment on 6/6 (Thursday). For those fans who want to see CL’s new concept and also senior label mates, Bigbang’s G-dragon and Taeyang featuring in the MV, do not miss it!

Girl power group, 2NE1 is always in lead of the trend regardless of their outfits or music genres. It was their first time holding a concert in Taiwan at the Taipei Arena in November last year. Their glamorous stage performances have impressed all the fans in Taiwan! 2NE1 is currently very influential all around the world. However, the members are continually striving for a breakthrough cautiously.

First, with CL, the leader announcing her first release of a solo digital single after 4 years of debut! The song is a mixture of the popular ‘Dougie’ dance moves along with the latest music genre of reverb bass (Dubstep), the lyrics shows the style that gives off a vibe of girl power and full of personality.

For the song, CL emphasized/stressed that “Although you are one, you have to be full of personality and ideas!”

The first time releasing a digital single, CL who has high expectations, traveled to Japan for intensive training for dance. Prior to the mv shoot, CL also personally participated in more than 10 brainstorming sessions, which shows her commitment and seriousness towards her solo this time. During the mv shoot, CL was changing in between 15 outfits with different styles which show CL’s distinctive characteristics such as feral beauty, cuteness, maturity, and various styles. CL even wore a hip-hop styled gold braces accompanied with fashionable accessories. “Glittering” that suctions the sight!

Senior label mates, G-dragon, who is currently busy with his world tour and Taeyang was also featured in the MV.

Fans have looked forward to CL’s solo as she is the first to launch her solo ’attack’! In less than 24 hours after the release of the MV, reports kept pouring and not only that it have gained over the mark of 150 thousand views. the digital solo single also obtained an ALL KILL in various music charts in Korea. The digital single had gained a place/rank in Top-10 for the day in the iTunes charts in countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and other five countries. In addition, the digital single was ranked in the 33th place in iTunes hip-hop charts in the U.S.

The results for her first ‘attack’ were indeed impressive as she have managed to take over 14 iTunes charts globally respectively.
