2NE1, consisting of members CL, Dara, Bom and Minzy, announced the date for their new single release.
YG Entertainment, the agency to which 2NE1 belongs,
delivered the news on July 1 through the official blog YG LIFE. The news
came as a teaser image. The posted picture had the song title ‘FALLING
IN LOVE’, and above it was the date it goes on sale; 2013 July 8.
2NE1, who released ‘I LOVE YOU’ last July is back in Korea to unveil their new after one long year.
The new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ is a genre that 2NE1
never tried before – it’s reggae. The change in their genre is already
attracting much attention. To show their fans something fresh, the group
even invited choreographers from overseas.
According to the founder of YG Entertainment, YANG
HYUN-SUK, 2NE1’s song release will not end in July, but it will go until
the end of the year with releasing new songs in August and September,
along with a mini album or 2nd regular album around October. 2NE1 will appear on TV much more frequently than before, including appearance on variety shows.
All eyes are on 2NE1 to see how they will do in the
month of July, when many individualistic artists and other girl groups
are also carrying out music activities.
