[130602] CL shows off ‘The Unnie’ at her 1st Performance of “The Baddest Female” on Inkigayo

CL the solo artist debuts, holding her first stage performance for The Baddest Female on SBS’ Inkigayo….”now do the unnie, now do the unnie“.

After amassing over 3 million YouTube views since the official release of “The Baddest Female” MV, ranking high on various international iTunes Charts, not to mention #1 rankings in South Korea, CL took the stage at SBS Inkigayo for her very first performance of the song.  However, even before the start of Inkigayo, fans were sharing pictures of the sticker booklet they received for the first performance by CL. Dara tweeted up a storm in response to GlobalBlackjack’s support tweet for CL, even sharing her story of not being allowed into the secretive pre-recording of her stage.  Bom joined the support crew at the show later, letting fans know she was going to cheer on 2NE1‘s leader.

Blackjacks got their first hint of what CL would look like in her debut solo performance during the interview portion of Inkigayo.  Fitted in a gorgeous blue and gold “Blue Seas” outfit by British designer Katie Eary, CL sparkled as she gave extra thanks to YG, Teddy, GD & Taeyang for the support they provided for her solo.  She then pointed to herself when asked who the worst gizibe she’s ever encountered was.  :)

As the second last performer, CL’s performance was everything that Blackjacks had been hoping for.  Framed by her “coat of arms” & dressed in white, CL brought “The Baddest Female” to life, complete with her ‘nail drying dance’.  During the second half of the song, she took her thrown on her dancers’ legs & finally showed fans how to do ‘the unnie’.

Immediately after her stage, a flurry of activity in support & awe of CL’s stage helped bring “#나쁜기집애” to #3 on Twitter & #1 on Daum’s real time search (capture on at #3)!  She was also featured on Naver’s Mobile homepage.

As this was CL’s first stage, her song most likely did not receive enough points to be ranked on the show.  However, her first performance was celebration enough for Blackjacks.
